“I am impressed with how DNA develops leaders to engage effectively in their communities to make a difference; DNA is about faith in action.”

Mission Track

A number of people approach us sensing a call to work internationally, and wisely want to test this. In response to this we have developed Mission Track.

Mission Track is exactly that - the same values and vision as any of the other Tracks but will give the trainee the opportunity of being based internationally for three months in the final term of their year, before returning for a month of reintegration and debrief.

The placement church is one which is known for it's strong understanding and appreciation of serving cross culturally and internatioally. In the first two terms you will serve in the same capacity within the UK church as any other trainee, with aspects of your programme to serving internationally in the final term.

After Easter, you will be placed for around 14 weeks into another nation working alongside existing, experienced nationals and missionaries. Your international placement will be decided upon between the placement church, DNA and you and will have strong relationships with your placement church.

Over recent years, Mission Track trainees have been placed in Albania, Brazil, India and South Africa.

Mission Track automatically gives you access to all the DNA training in terms 1 and 2 with all other DNA trainees, plus Kairos and the two mission specific training days delivered by expert and experienced practitioners. The training days you miss in term 3 will be provided for you as mp3 files.

This year, we have one trainee on Mission Track. Jo is currently in Cape Town, South Africa - you may want to visit her blog
