"DNA is an extremely well orgamised outfit - efficient, reliable, disciplined, focussed and refreshingly uncompromising in discipling, connecting trainees with contemporary culture, enabling them to grow in character, experience Christian ministry and to understand /think theologically and biblically. This course is of high standard, carefully structured with the support given to the placement discipler and co-ordinator of an equally high standard. As a church, it also introduced us to a model for supporting trainees in ministry for the future."

OnLine

OnLine is our second year programme, set up for the further training and development of those who have completed a DNA year and are growing in their calling and leadership.

OnLine is for…
  • those who, with the backing of their church, have a call to specific areas of church work, the workplace or to become a student. This will become a focus of activity for the year.
  • those for whom it is agreed that further training and development within the context of DNA is important for them as they pursue their sense of calling.
How it works
  • Specifically targeted training, including peer level support and reflection
  • Termly placement visit by DNA Team member to meet OnLiner and Line Manager.
  • Development in leadership and ministry
  • Working alongside DNA Team to support and pray for DNAers
  • Possible other extra local activities; e.g. leading one of DNA’s international trips, summer experience, serving on two-day blocks.
Line Manager
Each OnLiner will have a Line Manager in their church who will provide a clear point of discipleship and accountability. The DNA Team will work in partnership with the Line Manager for the development of the OnLiner and the success of their year. This will include communication in setting up the year, an introductory meeting for all Line Managers in October and the termly placement visits

Study Portfolio
Each OnLiner is to produce a study project/portfolio of work to reflect their thinking and work for the year. This will be in line with their focussed activity, and should include research as well as reports of the things they have done. At the end of the year they will deliver a presentation as a summary of their project.

Cost - 2009/2010
£1044. Although churches may choose to contribute, the cost is the responsibility of the individual.
Fees are payable termly.
