DNAers serve at CLAN Gathering

I’ve got to be honest with this one, I was not looking forward to Clan Kidz; Children don’t seem to like me, and that's just with the kids group at my church, let alone 600 children in one big room! That sort of thing just terrifies me!!
But I went to CLAN Gathering this year with the desire to serve as much as I could, so that’s what I tried to do! And what I found out was that the more I put into it, the more God gave back to me. The first day we were there, I found out that I was helping out with the P7 girls, that meant 10 young girls away to go into secondary school, and all of them with an attitude that I wouldn’t call cute and girly. So I was not looking forward to enduring angry girls disrupting everything to try and look cool, but over the week God started to speak to them, and they changed from disruptive to peaceful. Nice one! I was also really touched by all the teaching, and God really did speak to me. It seems that simple really is best.
That’s not all though, I felt I had a word for all of the kids, and it related to trusting in God, it was through the great movie, Up! So I went up and spoke it in front of all the kids, and it went well!
I came into CLAN Kidz a bit scared, and fed up with children, but I came out with my heart broken for them! I can’t wait to serve there next year!!
