We are delighted that having been invited to meet with the leadership team of the
Fresh Streams network of churches, they are now partnering with us for DNA to be their gap year programme for the theological, skills and character development of their emerging leaders.
Fresh Streams' vision is to resource leaders and churches; being missionary leaders growing missionary disciples – our visions and raison d'etre are a perfect match for each other! Fresh Streams began life in the 1970s as Mainstream, a renewal movement within the Baptist denomination. Now Fresh Streams is linked to the leaders of around 150 churches from across the UK.
Andy Glover, one of the leaders of Fresh Streams, said “For us the themes of discipleship and mission are central to fulfilling our vision, so to partner with DNA makes absolute sense, as these two same themes are at their core as well. If you add in two other key elements of DNA - character development and the importance of the local church - then working with them will enable Fresh Streams churches to raise up new leaders with confidence.”
Pete echoes Andy's words with “It is such a privilege and honour to be able to serve churches with the development of their own people – we are thrilled to have such an opportunity to serve the churches that form Fresh Streams, and we look forward to building with them over the coming months and years in the development of emerging leaders”.
